Memories
The soothing whisper of a
gentle wind
waltzes through a lonesome
palm tree;
Peaceful waves dance upon
jagged rocks,
The cooling water blends
with the breeze, and softly kisses my face.
Billowy clouds fade into
shadows, as amber, crimson, and gold melt into the smoky sky;
Shimmering stars peak out
from their hiding place dusting the heavens above,
Gleaming moonbeams amuse
the sea;
And from my bed, with eyes
gently closed, I am swept away
by a masterpiece of
far-away memories as
God paints breath-taking
images in my mind.
Bathed in Grace
I will let mercy wash me,
bathe myself in grace;
Shower in His blessings,
fall into His embrace.
His breath is life to me,
raising me high up
Into places heavenly,
where with Him I sup.
Our communion is so sweet;
He sings to me a night song,
And as I prepare to sleep,
he whispers “to me you belong.”
His promises cover me,
peace surrounds my bed
Joy is on her way, and my
soul is fed.
Why?
She woke up and she
wondered why;
Nothing much has changed
since yesterday.
The pain is just as
painful.
Her body . . . still shattered;
So she wonders why.
She dreams of a beautiful
place
and her entrance through a
Heavenly doorway.
But she woke up and
realized she’s still here;
So she wonders why.
Chalk
I am chalk on a
blackboard,
Just mere specks of powdery
dust;
A mild breeze carries me
away
Gentle rains melt me until I am no more.
There will always be
another piece of chalk.
Free
When my shattered body dies,
lay me on satin in an ivory casket.
Paint my fingernails a pretty pink.
Paint my fingernails a pretty pink.
Adorn
me in a flowy white gown,
Style
my hair, adjust my smile.
Do
not wonder, do not weep.
Rejoice
with me!
My dream came true
as I danced into His presence.
as I danced into His presence.
No
more night, no more tears,
And no more pain . . .
And no more pain . . .
I
am finally free.
